"To find my life I lose it. Destiny directs me. Life's doorway stands open..."

Janacek's passionate song-cycle tells the story of a young man who becomes intoxicated by an enigmatic woman, eventually throwing his life away to follow her. Featuring international tenor Sam Furness, and staged with extraordinary intensity at the Arcola Grimeborn Festival, this production also travelled to Clapham Omnibus in a double-bill with the brand new commission The Grief of Antigone by Edward Nesbitt.
